Ladybird is a four year old, very sweet, sharpei mix dog. She LOVES people and is very affectionate and well mannered. She went from being a beloved family pet to being given away, pregnant, on Facebook when the family moved. We scooped Ladybird up and she delivered her puppies in foster care and they have all gone on to homes of their own so now it is her turn. She is currently being vetted and doing well. She lived in a home with another dog and is potty trained and walks well on leash. She prefers her canine friends be boys that let her be the boss of them so would do best in a home as an only dog or with a laid back canine brother. She does fine with othr dogs out and about on walks and social situations. She LOVES kids and lived with small children and thinks they are the best thing since sliced bread. She enjoys playing with her toys, she is treat motivated, and her energy level is moderate so she really just wants to watch tv and sit around being a very good girl.
This dog is spayed, up to date on vaccinations and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. This dog has tested positive for heartworms and is being treated in our care. The adoption fee is $400 if your adoption is prepaid and final prior to your dog's arrival. An additional $50 will be charged on dogs that are picked up from our Southbury CT adoption center, adopted at an event or foster home. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with CT HB 5368.
If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at our Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 10am-Noon. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05.
