Farley's Story...
POSTED 8/13/09: Farley is probably a bengal mix of some kind because he is a very large cat weighing about 11-12 lbs and has a very large cuddly teddy bear face. We estimate that he is 8-12 years old but it is difficult to know for sure. He was found abandoned in a storm and his owners could not be located. Farley has been in foster care for a while waiting for us to have enough money to get his vet care done so he could go up for adoption. Now it is his turn. Farley is a big gentle guy. He is short haired but has a thick under coat and he likes being brushed. Farley is an easy going cat who doesn't require a lot of energy and activity. He would be a great companion for an older person or a single person leading a quiet lifestyle. Although he may do well with an active family because he is a nice cat with an easy going personality, we aren't sure that this is what he want at his age. He has a broken tooth which isn't causing him any problems at this time but otherwise the vet found him to be very healthy. Farley is currently at our PetsMart location on Archer Road in Gainesville. You can visit him at any time during regular store hours. Our adoption hours are Sat and Sun from 11am-5pm every weekend. Please stop by and visit Farley and give him the retirement home he deserves. All of our cats and kittens have been vet checked, leukemia tested, fecal parasite tested and dewormed, spayed or neutered, vaccinated, treated for fleas and parasites with Advantage multi, and have been microchipped for permanent identification so they will hopefully never be homeless again. Our adoption fee is $100 to help cover a portion of the medical and care expenses. E-mail us at spcagainesville@hotmail.com for an adoption application or visit our adoption coordinator on Sat or Sun from 11am-5pm each weekend at PetsMart on Archer Road in Butler Plaze in Gainesville, FL.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Farley, a Putnam Hall Bengal cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Bengal for sale in Putnam Hall, or seeking a Bengal cat from a breeder in Putnam Hall.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Putnam Hall already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Putnam Hall breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Bengal breeders who help with Bengal rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Putnam Hall paves the way for another one to be saved.
