**Please help NEKO**'s Story...
POSTED 9/15/09: Neko is an 11 year old large 13 lb. neutered male. He is a short haired orange tabby with white. Neko's owner sadly turned him over to rescue because he had to return to Japan to be with his dying father. Neko was an indoor kitty and was loved very much. He has been in rescue for about 10 days and is very depressed. Neko does not want to eat or drink and all he is doing is sleeping. He is very sweet and loving but can't understand what is happening to him. Neko is now at the vet clinic because we are having blood work done to make sure he is ok and he is receiving fluids to prevent him from becoming too dehydrated. Neko is such a gentle boy and what Neko needs most is someone to love him and to be in a home again instead of a cage. This guy would probably do best in a quiet home and he should be an indoor only cat. We don't know a lot about him other than he is suffering and wants someone to save him. He has tested negative for FELV/FIV and is current on vaccines. Please e-mail us at spcagainesville@hotmail.com for an adoption questionnaire if you think you can help Neko.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

**Please help NEKO**, a Putnam Hall Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Putnam Hall, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Putnam Hall.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Putnam Hall already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Putnam Hall breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Putnam Hall paves the way for another one to be saved.
