Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Sheba is a very beautiful three-year-old, 42-pound shepherd/basenji-mix looking for a wonderful new home. Inside the home, Sheba is a delight … playful, sweet, loving, cuddly, rolling over for belly rubs and giving lots of kisses. She sits on command, and takes treats gently. She is crate-trained and housebroken. However, on our walks or even in the yard, she is easily aroused … scanning the horizon for other dogs … and reacting pretty badly… barking, and lunging, or charging the fence. So, she is looking for a dog-experienced home, without other pets, with someone willing to work with her to build her confidence, and continue to desensitize her to other dogs. She may never be dog-friendly, but she can certainly improve. In the meantime, when I walk her … I want to keep her and other people, and dogs safe … so I avoid other dogs, and I use a gentle leader head harness to better control her. Sheba is healthy, spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, micro-chipped, heartworm-tested and on preventative. Her adoption fee of $65 benefits rescued pets.
