Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Gracie has quite a story here at the HSNY. She's 6 years old and has been here for over 2 years. We're unsure if she's a Russian Blue or Chartruex or just a gorgeous grey cat with a super plush coat. She is scared to trust. She stood her ground for the photos and posed quite nicely, but she can be aggressive with anyone who approaches her. The amazing thing about her is that for the time she's been at the HSNY, she has learned to trust one person here who works with her every day. The shelter worker who feeds and cares for her has developed quite a loving relationship with Gracie. She'll jump up on her shoulders, and cover her with kisses, rubs and gentle pawing. Though others have a difficult time getting close to her, we have seen how it IS possible for Gracie to be wonderfully attached to those she trusts. She very much needs someone who has long-term patience and the right expectations to help her succeed at a happy cat life. Previous cat experience is a must. She would be a challenge for anyone, but you will be rewarded with a lifetime companion.
