Max's Story...
Hello! I'm Max. I am a typical boxer and love to play and run and ride in the car, but I'm most happy in the lap or at the feet of the person I love. I've been left alone before and I really don't care for it, so if you are lucky enough to have an at home job this could really work out great for us! I adore kids of all ages. I love playing with other dogs but my new foster Dad is a little concerned that I'm a tough guy so maybe its best if I go to a home without other pets so that he doesn't stress. I am going to miss my female partner though, so if you have a sweet submissive dog like the one I am living with in my current foster home that would be good too.

If this sounds like you at all you must come and meet me. I'll win you over with my wiggly adorable personality. Of course I'm already potty trained and I know some basic commands and I am working on my leash manners and will continue to improve I promise. Truly I will do anything for the affection of my guardian. I'm very loyal.

Hope to see you soon!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Max, a Davis Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer for sale in Davis, or seeking a Boxer dog from a breeder in Davis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Davis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Davis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer breeders who help with Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Davis paves the way for another one to be saved.
