My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Come see us Saturday, March 13th from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Petco Adoption Event. Meet Peanut, and other dogs, puppies, cats and kittens available for adoption, at the Petco Adoption Event. The store is located at 2129 South Telegraph Road, Bloomfield Hills, MI 48302, just north of Square Lake Rd. Apply today to meet Peanut and adopt a new family member!

Peanut is so cute with her little nub for a tail and sweet, soulful eyes. She is young and smart, eager to please, but she has had a rough start in life. She was chained in the backyard and never really wanted by her owners. No one invested any time in her or showed her love. Peanut is an example of the dog's unending love of people. She trusts people and she loves them, but she is shy at first. She loves to go for walks and to have her ears scratched. Outside, playing in the snow, she was carefree and happy, romping, running and sniffing. Peanut gets along well with other dogs and cats. Peanut wants a home to call her own, a quiet calm place with patient, loving people. Give her a second chance at life. She'll be the best friend and companion you've been looking for! Adoption fee: $75.

Adoption Process:
Send an email to info@pawsforliferescue.org to tell us which pet you're interested in and we'll send you a questionnaire that will help us make the best match for you and your new pet. We then arrange a location, date and time for you to meet some pets. If the meeting goes well and everyone is happy, you begin the two-week trial run with the pet as part of your family. This is a trial period to give your dog or cat time to adjust to their new home, new people, new routine, etc., and for you to decide if it's a match and the right pet for you. At the end of two weeks (some people extend the trial time and that's fine too), if everyone is happy, then we finalize the adoption.
