Jazz is a 7 year old Red Sable. He is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, flea and tick prevention. He is also microchipped. Jazz is light heartworm positive and he will need to stay on Ivermectin until he is negative. We will provide full information regarding our Heartworm treatment protocol.
Jazz came to us from a high kill shelter located in Panama City. We literally had a small army of volunteers in order to bring Jazz into our Rescue. We are very fortunate to have so many angels on Jazz’s side! I was able to obtain Jazz’s previous owners contact information and basically they mistreated and neglected him for the past 6 years. Jazz’s first owner had him a year, purchased him from a N. Carolina breeder, did training with him and for whatever reasons dumped him with people that obviously did not want a German Shepherd!
As a result of his neglect, he came into rescue emaciated, fur missing and severe ear and skin infections. Despite all of this, Jazz remains a happy dog that just wants to play! Jazz is simply an amazing dog if you can even call him a dog, he has touched so many people in such a short amount of time. He is super intelligent and listens to everything I tell him. He loves to play fetch therefore we require the applicant to have a large fenced in yard or plenty of acres of fenced in land for him to search for some sticks to play fetch with. Jazz is obedience trained, housebroken, and enjoys spending time in his crate. Jazz would prefer a home without other dogs, and cats. He is great with kids of all ages. All dogs in rescue are temperament tested and have basic obedience implemented as a part of their daily routine. All behavioral issues are dealt with according to each case scenario. All dogs prior to going home are up to date on all vaccinations, neutered and or spayed, and microchipped.
Adoption fees range from $100 - $450 depending on age, degree of personalized training, and if proof of bloodlines can be provided.
Application, home-check, and references must be approved prior to final adoption. Located in Middleburg, Florida.
