Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hey, everyone!
My name is Tuffy. I'm not sure why they called me that, because I'm not really very tuff. I'm more of a soft cotton-ball type, but that's okay. I'm a little guy of only 10 lbs, and about seven years old, looking for a great family of my own.
Not to brag, but I think I have a lot to offer. First of all, I am totally housebroken and have not had a single accident, even in a new place. I'm good with other dogs, with all sorts of people, and even with kids. I love kids! In fact I love people of all sizes. My foster Mom says that when I want to have my belly rubbed, I come right over, sit beside her, and flip onto my back with my little paws in the air. Works every time!
Basically, my attitude toward the world is "let's have fun!" I like to go for walks, and will sniff around and check everything out. And car rides are even better! I can poke my nose out the crack in the window, with my feet on somebody's lap, and just smell everything that goes by. And I love to play. I have a squeaky snake that is all green and orange and yellow. And if you take it from me, I start willing with excitement, and then when you throw it into the air, I will run, run, run as fast as I can to get it. I love that game!
Now, I can be a mellow guy too. I love to snuggle, and be next to my people. When it's bed time, I just curl up on a blanket at the foot of the bed and sleep all night long, like a baby. (Well, not exactly like a baby, because they wake up a lot, and I don't.) My Mom has never had a foster before, and she says that I am just a wonderful way to start. She says I am very smart, and seem to understand where I should and shouldn't go after she just tells me once. In fact, she describes me as "a good listener" and "awesome." Isn't that sweet? I think my foster Mom and Dad are pretty awesome too.
You might wonder how a guy like me ended up in a rescue. Well, I used to have a wonderful family with a person who loved me so, so much. But then it turned out that her grandson had a rare allergy to my saliva, so she had to give me up. That was a sad, sad day. But luckily the people at Bichon Furkids Rescue took me in, and are giving me a chance to find a new home. And when I find one, that's going to be a happy, happy day.
Do you think you might have room for a little guy like me in your family? If so, please ask for Tuffy. I'll be here!
