My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Come see us Saturday, April 10th from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Petco adoption event. Meet Rocco, and other dogs, puppies, cats and kittens available for adoption, at the Petco Adoption Event. The store is located at 2129 South Telegraph Road, Bloomfield Hills, MI 48302, just north of Square Lake Rd. Apply today and adopt a new family member!

Meet Rocco! What a handsome, loving boy! And he is definitely a mutt - heavy emphasis on the MIX in the breed description. He is a neutered male, 10-month-old SWEETHEART who was abandoned in an empty house when his owners moved and left him behind. Rocco is just a big baby and a true ambassador of the breed. He is shy around other dogs, but very submissive. He seems fine with cats. Rocco's favorite thing in the whole wide world is people. He absolutely LOVES being around people. He loves to go for walks and car rides. Rocco is smart and already housetrained. He loves being petted and scratched and play, play, play! Toys are great, people are great - Rocco is just a happy dog in need of a loving home. He only weighs 29 lbs. He passed his temperament test with flying colors. Everyone at the Rescue absolutely loves him! Rocco has had a veterinary physical exam, heartworm test, fecal exam, da2ppl vacccine, bordetella vaccine , rabies, strongid dewormer, frontline/topspot, heartworm prevention and neuter surgery. Give Rocco the home of his dreams. Adoption fee: $75.

Adoption Process:
Send an email to info@pawsforliferescue.org to tell us which pet you're interested in and we'll send you a questionnaire that will help us make the best match for you and your new pet. We then arrange a location, date and time for you to meet some pets. If the meeting goes well and everyone is happy, you begin the two-week trial run with the pet as part of your family. This is a trial period to give your dog or cat time to adjust to their new home, new people, new routine, etc., and for you to decide if it's a match and the right pet for you. At the end of two weeks (some people extend the trial time and that's fine too), if everyone is happy, then we finalize the adoption.
