Cato's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and not good with cats.

Cato's Story...
Cato is an adorable, energetic, and fun ten-pound, nine-year-old, male Pomeranian/Chihuahua-mix looking for the perfect home. Cato is perfectly housebroken, no crate needed! He walks beautifully on leash, is great in the car, and is well-behaved in the home. Cato gets along with people and other dogs. He is a calm, friendly, lap dog who rolls over for belly rubs. But, he also has an active and happy personality. He chases balls and loves to play fetch. Cato loves other dogs, but would do best in a home without cats; he is currently living with a cat in his foster home but he likes to bark at her. Cato is very healthy, neutered, vaccinated for rabies, distemper and bordatella, heartworm-tested, de-wormed and micro-chipped. Cato also had a recent dental. His adoption fee of $65 benefits the Friends of Chicago Animal Care and Control. To meet and possibly adopt Cato, please contact his foster mom Laura at trinity66@dearborntower.net or 312-714-6444.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cato, a Chicago Pomeranian/Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pomeranian/Chihuahua for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Pomeranian/Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pomeranian/Chihuahua breeders who help with Pomeranian/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
