Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi People,
My name is Gertie and I'm a very special girl. My foster Mom says I'm very smart, affectionate
and playful. She says I've come a long, long way since I was found wandering the streets of LA.
When I first came to her I was scared (and afraid, too!) but now I'm becoming more trusting
and confident every day.
Mom says to tell you I'm a medium sized dog that is big on love! I may be a bull/terrier mix and
I weigh about 50 pounds, fully grown. She says I'm young... probably between 1 and 2... and that
I simply love life! She also says that I do the cutest things. (Ask her about the time I found the
not-quite-empty cereal box - and what I did. She might even have a picture she can show you!)
I'm both playful and curious - but I'm also ALWAYS very gentle! I love all dogs and people and will thrive in a home where I can give lots of love and kisses (oh, yes.. and play with my humans
and other pets!)
People describe me as white with very short hair and white-and-black polka dot ears, (they're great for listening and I do that well! I never wander off and always come when I'm called. ) I'm not very tall, have one blue eye and one brown eye - and I'm always smiling! What I lack in the purebred looks department Mom says, I make up for with my sweet personality and eagerness to please.
I'm house trained, crate trained and love to walk on a leash. Mom says I very rarely bark, but sometimes I let out a little squeak when I'm especially excited or pleased. I play well with all my foster brothers and sisters, and I'm great with kids and adults. All I need is a place to call my forever home - with a family or person that is looking for a very special girl with lots, and lots, of love to give. If that sounds like you, please ask for me: I'm Gertie and I'm waiting for you.
