Caramel's Story...
Caramel is a handsome, happy, talkative, playful and fun, male Guinea pigs looking for a loving home. Caramel is a red-colored Abyssinian Guinea pig. He always looks like he’s having a bad hair day. This boy makes the most fantastic noises … whistle, purr, rumble, chirp and squeak. He loves to get out of his cage to explore and run around. Guinea pigs eat a diet of pellets, Timothy hay, and dark green leafy vegetables like kale and cabbage. Sadly, this little piggy was found abandoned in Chicago only to be discovered while my friends were out walking their dogs, and their Boxer sniffed himout. I hate to think what could have happened to this precious creature. HIs adoption fee of $30 benefits rescued pets. To meet and possibly adopt him, please contact or 312-961-4571

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Caramel, a Chicago Guinea Pig was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Guinea Pig for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Guinea Pig from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Guinea Pig breeders who help with Guinea Pig rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
