My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi. My name is Jack and I am a 10 yr. old beagle. My whole world was turned upside down last week when my owner passed away. I spent most of my life with him, just hanging out and being best buddies and now I feel lost without him. Nobody in my former owner's family wanted to take care of me, so I was brought to Penny Angels to look for my new home. It is sad to think that I was unwanted by family', but at least they were kind enough to seek out Penny Angels Beagle Rescue instead of placing me in a shelter where my life would've ended. I don't mind the other beagles in Rescue, but I would really just prefer to be left alone right now. I keep waiting by the door with my nose pressed to the ground, hoping that my owner will suddenly reappear. I don't even feel like eating right now. Hopefully, my appetite will improve soon. I weigh about 38 lbs. & didn't really get much exercise in the past, so it would be good for me to lose a few pounds to be at a healthy weight for my size. I hope to find a quiet, loving home in which to live out the remainder of my days. I realize that many people don't want to adopt an older gentleman', but I hope that someone will give me a second chance. Please help me find my new best buddy so that I can be happy again.
