Benson's Story...
Hello world!

I’m Benson, a sweet, quiet little cutie of about three. One of my favorite things in the whole world to do is to snuggle up on my foster Mom’s lap and take a little siesta. (Hey, I think maybe I can speak Spanish!) Mom says to tell you that I’m an 8-pound love sponge. Uh, Mom? I’m pretty sure I’m a dog, not a sponge!

Dad says I’m an energetic but well-behaved guy, who is fun to have around. I’m good at lots of stuff, like riding quietly in the car, or sleeping in my crate at night. I get along well with people of all sizes, and other dogs, too. Sometimes I’m a little shy at first, but then I open up and just give everybody lots of love.

I love to cuddle with my people, but if they’re busy, I can play by myself. I have a stuffed dinosaur and a stuffed tootsie roll toy, and I like to carry them everywhere with me, even though they’re almost as big as I am! One of my favorite games is to try to steal Mom’s sandals. Usually I will grab one and start to run off, but if she says “hey!” then I just drop it and walk away like nothing happened. It makes Mom laugh every time.

So what do you think? Are you looking for a little guy with nice manners and a tiny cutie-pie face? If you are, then please fill out an application and ask for me, Benson, okay? I’ll be waiting here with all my toys!

Kisses and snuggles,

Benson, Your Bestest Buddy

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Benson, a La Costa Bichon Frise dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Bichon Frise for sale in La Costa, or seeking a Bichon Frise dog from a breeder in La Costa.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in La Costa already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a La Costa breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Bichon Frise breeders who help with Bichon Frise rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in La Costa paves the way for another one to be saved.
