Hunter's Story...
Please meet Mountain Rottie Rescue's Hunter

Once a beloved family member, now homeless- . Hunter is a layback fella , who very much masters a "Marmaduke " personality . Did we mention he is also the size of Marmaduke !
Hunter is a stunning 2 year old male rottie. He came into rescue when his owners left him and his sister Diva and moved out of the country. Diva was adopted over 6 months ago and Hunter still desperately waits for his forever home. Even thought Hunter was fine with Diva we have found that he is not great with other dogs and would do best being placed in a home without other dogs and cats. Hunter is really breaking our heart, he has so much love to give and yet no family to share that love with. He is in foster care with many other dogs and has to be separated since he doesn't get along with them. Hunter has waited long enough to find a home of his own. He is very smart and knows his basic commands, he also loves to play ball If you think you could help Hunter by fostering or adopting please submit an application on the Mountain Rottie Rescue site or email :

If you are interested in one of our available dogs please

to submit an Adoption Application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hunter, a Rexford Rottweiler dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rottweiler for sale in Rexford, or seeking a Rottweiler dog from a breeder in Rexford.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Rexford already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Rexford breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rottweiler breeders who help with Rottweiler rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Rexford paves the way for another one to be saved.
