Bruce's Story...
10/23/10: Bruce is at PetsMart!!!!
Bruce is a 1-2 year old neutered male. We don't know a lot about Bruce yet since he just arrived to rescue other than he is a really handsome large boy. Bruce was a stray. He is short haired, mostly white but with patches of buff/tan/light orange coloring on his head, back, and tail. He is a little taumatized by all of the changes going on in his life right now and doesn't understand everything that has happened to him this past week. He would be fine as an indoor/outdoor cat once he got to know his new safe home. Bruce would also do fine as an only cat if someone is looking to just adopt a single pet. If you are interested in fostering Bruce so we can learn more about him, please contact us by e-mail. All of our cats and kittens have been leukemia tested, vet checked, vaccinated, spayed or neutered, and microchipped. Please e-mail us at spcagainesville@hotmail.com for an adoption questionnaire or visit our adoptable cats and kittens at PetsMart on Archer Road in Gainesville from 11am-4pm Sat and Sun each weekend. Our adoption fee is $100 to help cover a portion of the medical and care costs.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bruce, a Putnam Hall Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Putnam Hall, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Putnam Hall.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Putnam Hall already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Putnam Hall breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Putnam Hall paves the way for another one to be saved.
