Peppermint Patty's Story...
Peppermint Patty
2-3 year old female
Red & White Exotic Shorthair
Special Needs

Patty is the sweetest kitty who sadly has hypertrophic cardiomiopathy (HCM). She is looking for a loving home for the time she has left. She has had an echocardiogram by our cardiologist and we were told she has about a year or so to live. She will not require much (if any) vet care, she cannot have any surgeries and is not taking any medication, it causes her stress to be medicated and we would rather see her happy than miserable. She is a big girl and loves to play, she's young still full of energy, you would never think anything was wrong with her if you didn't listen to her heart. She gets along well with other kitties and will talk to you and tell you all about her day. Patty is fostered in the Greater Sacramento area. For adoption information email jennifer@purebredsplus.org or call 707-301-6540.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Peppermint Patty, a Davis Persian cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Persian for sale in Davis, or seeking a Persian cat from a breeder in Davis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Davis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Davis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Persian breeders who help with Persian rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Davis paves the way for another one to be saved.
