Meet Marie: To understand Marie, yout need to know of her first year of life. Marie lived with a pack of dogs inside of a small kennel. She had little to no contact with humans. She had never worn a collar, been in a house or a car. She had only half of her eye sight because of both eyes having a medical condition called Cherry Eye. She depended mostly on her sister to look after her. They stayed at each other's side at all times.
Our rescue was called in to help out with the pack. Marie along with her sister was put into a foster home. Marie received the needed surgery to correct her eyes. She was on the road to a new life. She slowly started to learn to trust humans and enjoy being in her new foster home with her sister. But then complications from spaying took her sisters life. MARIE IS LOST WITHOUT HER. She still continues to find security in other rescues that come along. Her foster mom has learned her to walk on a leash without pulling. She stays in a crate at night, loves playing with other dogs and keeps a close eye on what her foster mom is doing. She is a very sweet dog and has come a long way.
Marie is looking for a patient new over who will put time and effort into her continued training and care. Marie still still fearful of new people and situations and will need someone to work with her. The reward in doing so would be years of companionship.
