Nancy's Story...
Urgent - Black and White Maine Coon

OMG! Another Maine Coon in the shelter. Poor Nancy has been caged in the shelter since mid August. We hope her luck holds out until she finds her home because she is a beautiful and loving cat. There are so many Maine Coons at risk in our shelters. Please run out to the Sac County Shelter and adopt one of these goergous cats. Nancy is available at Sac County Shelter. This is a stunning, young cat. Look at those ear tufts and neck ruff - just stunning. This is the type of cat we Love to have in rescue, but we just don't have space to take her in right now, so we need to get her a home straight from the shelter. Nancy is hoping to be put up for adoption at the Sacramento County Animal Care and Regulation but slow adoptions and over flowing cages have put her at risk of euthanasia. There are over 300 cats in shelter and they need to make room for the 40+ cats/kittens coming in daily. Please HURRY!

This cat is not in the Purebreds Plus foster system.
For more information about this animal, check the Sacramento County Animal Care and Regulation website or better yet, go to the shelter and ask for information about animal ID number A530888. Please Hurry!!!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Nancy, a Davis Maine Coon cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maine Coon for sale in Davis, or seeking a Maine Coon cat from a breeder in Davis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Davis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Davis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maine Coon breeders who help with Maine Coon rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Davis paves the way for another one to be saved.
