Maxwell's Story...
Maxwell 2 -3 yr old male Seal Point Himalayan / Scottish Fold mix

This goodnatured Man about Town kitty is one of the Scottish Folds
who have naturally straight ears. Not all Folds are folded. Actually
there are several degrees of foldedness from straight to almost
folded flat ( see Murgatroyd). Maxwell has the wonderful Scottish
Fold sweet personality. And of course the lovebug Himalayan cuddliness.

He is one of the four kitties we got from an L. A. Shelter
surrendered by their breeder. Murgatroyd, Morgan, Maxwell, and
Marmaduke.

He is a healthy, active, playful boy. Ready to take on the world.
( When he is not getting loving attention. )

He is lighter colored than his straight eared brother Marmaduke and
has soft silky fur and of course the super blue eyes they all have.

He loves eating wet food and has requested that I send him home to
a family who serves generous portions of canned food. All the time.

He is litterbox perfect. He would be fine as an only cat though he
is cat friendly.

His foster mom is Harriet in Santa Cruz.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Maxwell, a Davis Scottish Fold cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Scottish Fold for sale in Davis, or seeking a Scottish Fold cat from a breeder in Davis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Davis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Davis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Scottish Fold breeders who help with Scottish Fold rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Davis paves the way for another one to be saved.
