Here's what the humans have to say about me:
I’m Sandy, and I was found running as a stray with my friend Cindy. We stayed at the shelter for about a month, and then they said there was no room for us there any more, so we were put on a bad, bad list that said if we didn’t get out of there soon, we weren’t going to. On top of that bad news, they also said I was heartworm positive. So, I had two strikes against me, and I sure didn’t want to find out what strike three was. So, fortunately, BREW Midwest said Cindy and I could come to them. I’ve been here at my foster home about a month now, and have had my first heartworm treatment. It went very well, and I’ll soon have to go back for the second and last treatment. On top of being painful, it’s very expensive, so if you can afford to help me out a little, that would be great! And, after about another month or so, I’ll be all ready for my furever home. I can’t wait!
Note from Sandy’s foster parents: Sandy is a tiny, shiny, beautiful tri-color/blue tick beagle girl. She is sweet as sugar, and has gotten along with everyone she’s met, even the sometimes surly beagle girl who lives here. She is not really shy, but is a little insecure, so a home with lots of warm laps or another dog to snuggle with would be ideal.
