My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Abbey is not part of the Penny Angels organization and is listed here as a courtesy post. Please contact dkcherona@aol.com or call 1-201-826-7056 for more information about Abbey.

Helloooooooo, my name is Abbey. I am 6 months old. I had a job in research center but I got let go because they said I was not going to get big enough to study with them. My foster mom says that is a good thing even though I had lots of fun playing all day at my job. So I guess you can say I am retired...and I never even worked!!! My foster mom took me to her apartment and I got to play with her cats...or lets just say we learned early that it will take some time to play nice together. They scared me because they are big cats and I am a small dog, I only weigh 14 lbs. We walked around her town with me on my leash and she said I was a very good girl on a leash. That night I slept in a crate without a peep all night. Then we went to my foster grandma’s house the next day. There I met her tweenie dachshunds that are much more my size and like to play with me. We ran around the big yard and played chase. I almost learned to fetch a ball in one afternoon. I wasn’t afraid of anyone there, even the dachshunds dad and he is a big tall man. I just couldn’t keep my tail from wagging it was so fun. I did my business outside, but I also did my business inside...so foster mom says we gotta work on that. And all of that was in my first two days of retirement. Not bad for 6 months old!

Anyway, I would like to find a forever home with people to share my love. I am not ready yet because my foster mom says I need to get “fixed” first. I didn’t even know I was broken, but she knows best. So if you think I am cute and you can wait a little while for me to be ready I am looking for you. You need lots of love and time, because even though I say I am retired I am really just a puppy and I have lots of learning and playing to do.
