Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi World,
My name is Joey and I'm an adorable and energetic one year old bichon. My mom says I'm very affectionate and sweet -and that I am also playful and rambunctious. She says that I am housebroken, like to entertain, go for rides and enjoy my walks - and that I don't bark except to let you know that someone is at the door. I like other dogs and am good with older children. My coat is beautiful and white - and I have a very cute smile (some of my teeth are a little crooked but Mom thinks that makes me all the cuter!)
Mom says I don't like to be alone so that it is important for me to have people or another dog around to keep me company. If it is another dog, that dog needs to be the alpha because I have a strong personality and will try to take control. Because I have a will of my own I am 'moderately obedient.' (She says sometimes I like to rebel and that I watch you while I'm disobeying to see how you will respond) but that I am also content to run and chase things and would love to have people who could play with me. My bichon foster brother thinks I'm the best buddy to wrestle and play with - but my bichon foster sister thinks I'm a real pest and can be too aggressive with her.
At some point, before I became a 'fur kid' Mom thinks I was beaten - so I will cower some times when people approach me. But I've learned that people now are good and kind and loving - and that I am safe and protected. What I'm looking for now is a forever home of my very own - where I can play and run and be loved and adored. If you think you are the ones for me, please complete my application at www.bichonfurkids.com - and ask for Joey.
