Ella's Story...
Sweet Lil Ella! That is what my foster Momma "Auntie" Dianna has been calling me all day. So I guess that means I am sweet and little. I am the smallest of my sisters and brother but I can hold my own when they are picking on me. I am still trying to figure out this "free" thing. When "Auntie" Dianna lets us out to go outside and play, I am not sure what to do, so I just hang out in the puppy room. She has to come and get me to take me outside. I am sure I will get brave soon and also realize that I am safe and can go on my own. I love the toys that "Auntie" Dianna got us today and I pick one and take it inside the crate we are sleeping in to play with it. I also love it when "Auntie" Dianna sitws on the floor with us. I go and get in her lap and give her kisses and guess what? She just scratches my tummy. It feels so good!! If you would like to scratch my tummy, please go to the FTLOLR web site and fill out an adoption application for me.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ella, a Torrington Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Torrington, or seeking a Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Torrington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Torrington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Torrington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Torrington paves the way for another one to be saved.
