My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Lulu, a 2-3 year old yellow lab. She is just a happy, happy girl. She is very sweet and ready to fill your life with smiles. Lulu was abandoned at a kill shelter, so LFS stepped in to give her a second chance at life, and she thanks us every day with her countless smiles, as you can see from the pictures. Open your heart and home to Lulu and you won’t be disappointed!

UPDATE: Unfortunately we just found out that Lulu is heartworom positive. She will start treatment next week. After that we will need a quite place for her to recover. If you would like to foster this sweet beautiful girl while she recovers from treatment just let us know. To help sponsoring Lulu's treatment just click on the button below.

UPDATE FROM FOSTER MOM : Lulu is is adapting really well to her new home. Our apartment is pretty big, with lots of open space, so she has room to play and some new furry neighbors to play with too! She is meeting new people and pets and enjoying it very much. Lulu is incredibly sweet and loving and everyone around her adores her. Thank you for the opportunity to foster, Lulu and I are having a lot of fun.

NEW UPDATE FROM FOSTER MOM : Lulu is one of the sweetest, happiest dogs I have ever met. She is playful, loving and likes a lot of attention:-) She loves going to the dog park, going on long walks and sleeping on car rides. She is excellent with kids, other dogs, cats, etc. It has been such a joy having her, I'm sad to give her up! Lulu is completely over her heartworms.

NEW UPDATE FROM FOSTER MOM :Lulu is now completely housebroken and sits by the door when she needs to go out. She is GREAT in a crate, understanding that is for when no one is home to play with her or we are sleeping. She loves the company of other dogs and cats and would do best in a home with multiple animals so she can be as social as she wants to and play:-) She is great with kids but I recommend them being older just because of her very excited, playful attitude.. and she is very strong! It is very seldom she is completely out of energy! ...although, she is very calm and happy riding in the car. We are still working on begging for food.. since she was having to fend for herself most of her life, she has convinced herself that she is never quite full enough. Lulu's stomach is sensitive to treats so regular dog food is all she has been eating. Occasionally I give her a raw hide which are her FAVORITE. She is a sweet girl who deserves a loving, big family with lots of space to run.
