SIMON's Story...
"Simon Says: Sit, Stay, Read" My name is Simon and the nice LabRescue people think I'm about 7. No one told me, so I think and act like I'm about 5, sharing my boundless energy with whomever is holding my leash. After breakfast, I look forward to my morning walk. My foster parents tell me that I walk well on a leash and don't pull to much. I love meeting new doggie friends in the neighborhood.
I love my "humans" and the closer the better. In fact, I snuggle on the couch with them every night while watching TV. It's amazing that anyone ever gave me up, charming dude that I am. If you want an active, healthy lab with lots of Dudley lab traits, I'm ready to go to my forever home." I love playing fetch and running in the yard. When the car door opens, I'm ready to jump in. I sit and look out the window or sleep. I know basic commands: sit, shake and stay. But I am very smart and learn quickly. I enjoy treats and take them gently.

My foster parents think I have big feet, but I can hold my toys better. My tail never stops wagging. I am such a happy puppy. Won't you take me home?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

SIMON, a San Diego Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in San Diego, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in San Diego.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Diego already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Diego breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Diego paves the way for another one to be saved.
