Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi Everybody!
I’m Murphy--- and I’m a four year old bichon with big black eyes and a happy smile. My ‘aunties’ at Bichon FurKids say my middle name should be ‘Mr. Mellow’ (Can you tell they like me a lot?)
My foster Mom calls me “Super Glue” because I bonded with her in about two seconds. She says I am very friendly and will approach anyone and everyone with love and affection. (Mom says that I don’t know a stranger. I like everyone I meet!)
There is no doubt that I’m a real love bug. I love when people come to the house, and I love to ride in the car, and I love to take walks and naps, sit on laps, and carry my stuffed toys!
I am house-trained and guess what? If the door to the back garden is open, I find my way out - and if the door is closed I tap on the glass with my paw. (Pretty neat, huh!) Dad says he and Mom are teaching me commands. They say I tilt my head when they talk to me – and that I listen carefully and take it all in.
I’m very eager to please and I fit in very nicely wherever I am. I like my doggy foster brothers a lot but Mom says I love people even more. When I’m with people I feel safe and loved – and I’m always calm, attentive and affectionate,
My BFK aunties say everything I do is special – for many, many reasons. One of the reasons I’m special is that, although I’m a young guy, I inherited some ‘funny genes.’ No, that doesn’t mean I’m a funny fellow (Mom says I’m gentle and do funny things.) You see these genes have taken away most of my vision and that, sadly, cannot be corrected. Although my vision is impaired I act as though I don’t have a care in the world. If you sit on the floor and play with me I will bounce around happily. Of course I’d rather sit in your lap and just love you to pieces. Or cuddle quietly with all my heart,
Speaking of love, Mom says that I have lots of ways to show you I love you. One of them I that I wrap my front legs around her arm, “hugging” her and holding on. (Dad says I hug him and Grandma too.)
I hope when you look into my beautiful eyes and see my happy smile that you will want to meet me. So if you have a big heart, a lap I can sit in and are looking for someone who will love you forever, please complete our application. Mom says I’m a very special guy-- and knows that there is a very special person just waiting to meet me and fall in love.
