I am already spayed, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, and good with dogs.

Sandy's Story...
As lovable as can be, this pretty girl was surrendered because her owner did not want to watch her grow old. Sweet as pie, Sandy will gladly give kisses and nudge your hand for affection. She has a wonderful demeanor for a dog that has been kept outside for most of her life. Sandy is gentle and eager to please, with a very social and easy-going personality. This English Setter will make a great pet for first time dog owners. However, we advise no young children because of her older age. She deserves a household that will include her as part of the family and cherish her as an indoor pet. Sandy is at Bergen County Animal Shelter in Teterboro, NJ. Please go see her there.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sandy, a Edgewater English Setter dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a English Setter for sale in Edgewater, or seeking a English Setter dog from a breeder in Edgewater.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Edgewater already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Edgewater breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even English Setter breeders who help with English Setter rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Edgewater paves the way for another one to be saved.
