Memphis's Story...
Memphis is an absolutely adorable, gentle, extremely snugly and very friendly, 10-week-old, male, white tabby kitten looking for a loving home. Little Memphis is big and stocky for his age, so he’s going to be a huge kitty. He is very playful and gets along great with other cats and dogs. He’s often seen running around his foster home playing with his toys with his big white mitten paws. Memphis was dropped off at Chicago Animal Care and Control and was lucky to get out of a cage and into a wonderful foster home. He is very healthy, neutered, micro-chipped, up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccines, de-wormed, and virus-tested. To meet and possibly adopt him, please phone, e-mail or text his foster mom Katye at singsingkitty@yahoo.com or 815-603-1157. His adoption fee of $75 benefits the Friends of Chicago Animal Care & Control.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Memphis, a Chicago Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
