Hi there! My name is Princess, but my foster mom calls me Princess Smileypants! My brother, King and I were surrendered to a shelter because our owner is in the military and had to go overseas. Although it was very, very hard to say goodbye, we understand why he could not keep us and we are certainly grateful to have been rescued and out of that shelter! I would really love to find a forever home with my brother King, but completely understand if you want me to be your one and only, or, I would be happy if I could get a new brother or sister too! I love my foster brother (he is about my size) but I'm not a huge fan of kitties so I would really appreciate a kitty-free home.
I am about 45 pounds and around 5 years old, so I will not be getting any bigger unless you fatten me up, which suits me just fine, I’ll still look like a puppy even with a few extra pounds! I don’t just wag my tail; I wag and wiggle my whole body when I get excited-but don’t worry-- I don’t jump unless you ask me to! I am blessed with such soft fur that people just can’t stop touching me! I also have the most amazing look of hope in my eyes; every time you look at me you just have to smile and when you smile that just makes me wag even more!
I am a very low maintenance little lady. I'm past the chewing stage and I am housetrained; I'm even learning to use a bell to tell you when I need to go out! I am crate trained and though perfectly content in my crate, my foster mom says she can trust me enough to give me the run of the house after only a week! When it comes to exercise, the occasional walk or romp in the yard suits me just fine, I burn a lot of energy off just wagging and wiggling my happy little butt all day! I’m quite happy keeping you company during your daily routine, laying in my bed chewing a rawhide when you’re really busy or snuggling with you while you relax, we can do anything together! I'm very good in the car, I walk on a leash like a lady, give tons of kisses and have not met one single person I did not ask for a belly rub! My foster mom is really blown away by how well behaved and gentle I am, she says I am the most easy-going dog she has ever met (but don’t tell my foster brother that!).
