Birdie's Story...
Arrival story: A good Samaritan found Birdie and her siblings in an abandoned house and took them in so they would have a second chance.

Approximate age / weight: Approximate date of birth is Nov. 18, 2010 / weight is approximately 20 lbs.

Personality: Birdie is your typical pup, who loves to romp with her brothers and sisters. We're not sure what she's mixed with, but we think these puppies will be large.

Forever home: Puppies are cute, but please remember, they are a lot of work and will need training and proper socialization to ensure they grow into well-behaved adult dogs.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Birdie, a Northville Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Northville, or seeking a Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Northville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Northville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Northville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Northville paves the way for another one to be saved.
