Zack's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, and good with dogs.

Zack's Story...
Zack is a shy, sweet, snugly, sensitive and friendly two to three-year-old, 18-pound, male, Schnauzer looking for a loving home. Zack was found as a stray with ridiculously matted hair stuck in a snow drift. His rescuer called to him and he was frozen in the ice and couldn’t move. She chiseled him out and brought him to a groomer who had to shave him to the skin. Zack loves people and gets along with other dogs. Once his fur grows back in he’ll look more like a Schnauzer. He doesn’t appear to know any formal commands, but is crate-trained, and doing well with his housebreaking. Zack is healthy, neutered, up-to-date on rabies, distemper and bordatella vaccines, heartworm-tested, and micro-chipped. To meet and possibly adopt him, please contact Gloria at or 773-907-0305. His adoption fee of $200 benefits the dogs of Famous Fido Rescue.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Zack, a Chicago Schnauzer (Miniature) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Schnauzer (Miniature) for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Schnauzer (Miniature) dog from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Schnauzer (Miniature) breeders who help with Schnauzer (Miniature) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
