Poochie's Story...
bonded pair came to SCLRR when their owners had to move to Wisconsin and could not take them with the family. They absolutely love eachother and we'd like to see them get adopted together.
Although Pooch and Prince lost their first family, their luck changed when a couple decided that for their anniversary present to one another, they were going to do something good for an animal. In this case, they fell for Pooch and Prince at the Pasadena Shelter and offered to foster them for SCLRR. Now that, is a wonderful present to give one another, the gift of helping another life.

7 year old Prince and 9 year old Pooch are sweet dogs both weighing in around 55-60 lbs. They are small and are Lab mixes. They would be perfect for a retired couple that likes to travel in their RV as both Poochie and Prince love the car! They are housebroken, healthy, have had their teeth cleaned and are ready for their forever home

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Poochie, a Torrance Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Torrance, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Torrance.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Torrance already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Torrance breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Torrance paves the way for another one to be saved.
