PETRA's Story...
Hey world, my name is Petra. Somehow I was left to fend for myself, lost and alone on the streets, ending up in the worst shelter in the IE.
Enough sadness already! My life took a huge turn for the better when I was spotted by that nice LabRescue lady. She recognized that I am a purebred labbie girl with all the assests of a lab--a perfect temperament and good labby looks. I am easy to get along with. I like other dogs, know some commands, and am a happy gal determined to make your face and heart smile. I am gifted at leash-walking, and try to strut a bit. You see, I'd like a nice foster home for the short run while LabRescuers helps me look for my perfect FOREVER HOME where I can bring my joy to people who love me for being me. Could that home be yours? I sure hope so!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

PETRA, a San Diego Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in San Diego, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in San Diego.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Diego already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Diego breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Diego paves the way for another one to be saved.
