Hugh Heifer and Madame Bovary have come so far since they were rescued, and they are ready for a home! All fosterers say they have the best kittens, but we mean it this time - this pair is extremely loving, playful, and entertaining! They would do best with a single person or a couple who have no children or who have children who are not young. It's great to have a pair of kittens, because their different personalities complement each other and are endlessly entertaining:
Hugh took a long time to come around - for two months he wouldn't let anyone touch him, until one day he realized, "this petting business is pretty great." Since then he hasn't looked back and loves to sit on laps, be petted, be near people he knows, and give great big bear hugs. He has silky smooth fur and is a very muscular, gorgeous kitten. He likes to gaze into your eyes and blink and makes biscuits in the air when being petted. He's also curious - almost every day he "discovers" and chases his tail, and he stealthily approaches and investigates new objects, and he plays "fetch" with his toys.
Madame B is petite with soft bunny fur. She is one of the snuggliest kittens fostermom has met - she loves to sit on laps, be carried around, and be petted as much as possible; sometimes when she's in the throes of playing she'll run up for some scratches before going back to her toys or brother. She is SUPER friendly and confident. She "hides" behind shoes when hunting and loves toys and chasing/wrestling with her brother, and she likes to race you into the next room (she's fast!). She makes biscuits on blankets while gazing at you, and she wags her tail when there's food or a treat coming. She gives Hugh a bath every day, and she gives people nose kisses and face rubs and even hand baths. Impeccable hygiene. She stands on her hind legs to greet you and loves to cuddle.
The best part of having a pair of kittens is that they take care of each other and never get lonely; even if you're away for a long day, the kittens have company and are easier to take care of than a single cat, who needs much more attention. These two are so happy, funny, snuggly, playful, and pretty. They are easy to take care of - not picky about food and perfect litterbox habits. They both have delicate, pretty meows that they don't overuse -- but they do like to sometimes talk to or "chirp" at you to say hello or say "breakfast time!" They also have an irresistible purring chorus. They are ready for a forever home! We'll throw in a copy of Flaubert's "Madame Bovary," to boot.
