Linus is a young male who was roaming the streets of east Oakland with his best pal, a male chihuahua, after his owners were incarcerated in a drug bust. After months of surviving in that hood, he was picked up by a sympathetic passerby (because he would have no chance at the Oakland shelter) and taken to a boarding facility where he runs and plays to his heart's content.
Personality
He not only does wonderfully with other dogs, but he's very attached to this current foster mom, following her around from room to room. (In case you're wondering, his former BFF, the 8-poud chihuahua, found a home already.)
Linus is very handsome and muscular-- a really impressive-looking specimen at about 80 pounds with a heart of gold. He is fully housebroken and sleeps nicely in his crate at night, chewing on his bone until he falls into a deep slumber. He's learning basic commands like sit, come, and stay-- all of which he will have mastered by the time his leaves the boarding facility. He loves car rides and his toy. And by toy, I mean anything that you pick up and throw for him to chase. He is great at hunting it down and bringing it back. He has been neutered, microchipped and is current on his vaccinations.
What a Looker!
Linus plays nicely with other dogs -- big or small, male or female. In fact, he should go to a home with either a person who spends a lot of time at home OR a home with another dog, because he's a big wussy and doesn't like being left alone.
This is a great, big, fun dog who will bond to you in an instant.
