My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Yo, I am Marco, from Chicago. Have you seen my buddy Guido?

Seriously, this Marco is no tough guy. Foster daddy says I am just the sweetest guy you would ever want to meet.

And would you like to know what my philosophy is on adopting a beagle? Go big, or go home. Why do you ask?

Well it is because I am a wonderful beagle boy who weighs in at a svelte 49 pounds. And foster daddy will vouch it is because I am big boned, and not overweight. I think I might have a little something else in me, because my size comes from being longer then most beags.

Foster daddy likes to crack jokes that I have a LOT of something else in me due to my size. Funny guy he is.

Foster daddy also says I am pretty special in that I got 2nd floor privileges and freedom of the whole house right away. He says that generally doesn’t happen at his house with the foster dogs.

I am crated during the day, and don’t mind it. At night foster daddy tells me to lie down, and I find a doggy pillow to spend the night on. Trust me; I would love to sleep on the big bed if given the chance. Might need to be a king sized bed though.

We have a fenced yard here that I love to lumber (daddy says he can not really consider it running) around in with my foster sisters. Who by the way, I get along great with, and even though the younger one is just a little squirt, I play nicely with her. But foster daddy has also put me on a tie out and I did not mind it. So if you do not have a fenced yard, I would be cool with that.

He also says I walk fairly well for a beagle. I have a nice brisk pace, but you had better hold on tight. Big boy means strong boy, and if you are not holding on tight, I might pull the leash out of your hand. We have only gone for short car rides, but I just sat or laid down in the back seat.

Foster daddy is not sure if I should be with younger kids. Not that he thinks I would have any problem getting along with them, but if I were to jump up on them, with my bigger size, I would so knock them over and maybe scare them.

I do have a beautiful big boy bark. But I generally only use it once in awhile when I want another dog to play, or I want to be by you, and especially when you do not put my food bowl down right away.

So if you are looking to make it to the BIG time in the beagle world, I am the guy for you. Oh, and big boys need big toys
