My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello World,
We are Bogey and Bacall, a bonded pair of bichons who are incredibly sweet, playful and happy. Our foster parents said to tell you that I, Bogey, am about three years old and a mellow and compassionate little guy and that Bacall is also about three and sensitive, sweet and friendly. We adore kids, are friendly, mellow, housebroken and smart!

I am happy romping around playing by myself or with Bacall. I like to chase the ball but am not quite sure what to do with it when I get it. (I’m working on that, though!) Dad says I’m a natural greeter, love to ride in the car and know basic commands. I also love to play and snuggle with the kids. In fact when the kids come home from school, that's when I’m the happiest! I love to sit and watch them put on talent shows – and I am the bestest audience ever!

Mom says that Bacall and I like to play with one another and to also chase birds! And when we’re through I like to sit down next to her and relax. She says I’m very special in the way that I take care of Bacall – and that I’m a mellow, laid back and go with the flow kind of guy.

Now for Bacall…. well Mom says she is a sweet and sensitive little angel who is attentive and a friend to all. Bacall is not as outgoing as I am – in fact she is a bit shy at first. But she does warm up after a little while. If you sit down to read a book or watch TV, she will curl up next to you and stay there forever. Dad says that Bacall has a very sweet and loving spirit – and if you meet her in person, you will fall in love with her big brown eyes and all they communicate. Well, I think she’s pretty cute too but I don’t know that her eyes are more expressive than mine, Come on now, Dad.

When Bichon FurKids found us we were pretty scared and very skinny. We had somehow survived living on the streets despite how little we are! Now we are healthier, becoming more confident and less scared all the time. We are drinking good water and eating good food! (Mom says we aren’t very big eaters but that we are very healthy.)She’s determined to ‘put a little meat on our bones’ she says. We’re not sure what that means but we know Mom knows what she’s doing – why she’s a great foster Mom! And Dad’s a great foster Dad. We’re very lucky now indeed.

We are good with kids (Mom says we are calm with them) but they are not sure about cats. Because we are young and have a lot of exciting new things to learn, we need people to teach us. Once we are adopted, Bichon FurKids recommends that we attend doggy obedience class so we can be the bestest little furkids in the world.

We have been through SO much together that we must also be adopted together - so if you are interested in meeting us, please complete our adoption application and we’ll be in touch.
