My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

NOLAN.............Meet Nolan Chocolate Lab approx 75lbs. 1.5 to 2 years old, male neutered, current on all vaccinations. Nolan was bought into Eastex veterinary clinic for euthanasia. He had shown up in the neighborhood only walking on three legs. His right rear leg had been injured and severely infected. The injury appeared to be caused by some type of cord or line. The finder thought the only future for him was to humanely put him to sleep. Lucky for Nolan one of our volunteers was on duty and couldn't bear for this to happen to such a handsome and good natured guy. He hoped with a little TLC and antibiotics the leg might heal and it did. Nolan is light heartworm positive for heartworms and has been started on a soft treatment as advised by our vet. Eager to please he is very much a typical lab and thinks he is still a puppy at times. Who can blame him he hasn't had much fun in his young life. Willing to obey and extremely food motivated he should respond well to obedience training. Sociable with everyone including the family cat in a multi dog foster home. He would love a family of his own and a forever home. Contact Gloria if you can foster or would like to adopt Nolan.
