Sherpa's Story...
Estimated to be 1 1/2 rs old and just 6 lbs (most of it is fur!), Sherpa is settling in to his temporary's what his foster mom has to say after only a week..

. "Sherpa is doing well. He's a sensitive kitty (probably not great for little kids) but he's also very cute with a big personality. He's still a bit jumpy and skeptical, but once he's reassured that my hands are only going to do nice things to him he actually adores being pet. He's a big talker (but not too loud) and often comes when I call him. He has started to jump up on the bed and even my lap the other day. Basically he's adorable and with a little TLC and patients, he'll be cuddly too".

Sherpa was rescued from a high kill shelter where he was given up due to allergies and will require regular grooming to keep his beautiful long coat from matting.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sherpa, a Arlington Himalayan cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Himalayan for sale in Arlington, or seeking a Himalayan cat from a breeder in Arlington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Arlington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Arlington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Himalayan breeders who help with Himalayan rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Arlington paves the way for another one to be saved.
