My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! My name is Slider. I'm an active, energetic, playful guy who needs a mom or dad to teach me all the great things that every dog should know. I came to the Rescue from a rural shelter as a lost dog. I'm young, only about 10 months old and no one taught me anything. But I'm smart and learning fast. I know sit and down. I am learning what's expected of me and that's important for dogs. I like to play, take car rides and go for walks. The tennis ball is my favorite! I am neutered, vaccinated and I weigh 46 lbs. I crave a leader and a home, a warm, kind, loving home. Give me a chance. Adoption fee: $75.

Apply today or come meet Slider at our adoption event on Sunday, May 22nd from noon to 3 p.m. at Stoney Creek, 4300 Main Park Dr., Shelby Township at Winter Cove A. Event includes Scentsy sale and supply and fund drive to benefit the homeless animals of Paws for Life. Dogs, cats, puppies and kittens available for adoption.

Adoption Process:
Complete the application at the link above or send an email to info@pawsforliferescue.org to tell us which pet you're interested in and we'll send you a questionnaire that will help us make the best match for you and your new pet. We then arrange a location, date and time for you to meet some pets. If the meeting goes well and everyone is happy, you begin the two-week adjustment period with the pet as part of your family. This is a pending period to give your dog or cat time to adjust to their new home, new people, new routine, etc., and for you to decide if it's a match and the right pet for you. At the end of two weeks (some people extend the adjustment time as needed and that's fine too), if everyone is happy, then we finalize the adoption. Feel free to email if you have any questions.
