Black Beauty's Story...
Black Beauty is an active, playful and affectionate, 16-pound, four-year-old, golden-eyed, long-haired black cat with a squeaky little meow looking for a loving home. Black Beauty aka BB loves to look out the window at the birds. He adores people and gets along with dogs and children, but prefers not to live with other cats. BB is a tidy cat who uses his litter box and scratching post like a good boy. He is a curious guy who adjusts quickly to new surroundings and is not a cat to hide under the bed. BB has all his claws, is neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, virus-tested micro-chipped and ready for a loving home. He requires a grain-free diet to maintain his good health. To meet and possibly adopt BB, please contact Abby at abby@felinesinc.org His adoption fee is on a sliding scale from $75 to $100 each and benefits the rescued cats of the Felines Inc shelter.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Black Beauty, a Chicago Domestic Longhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Longhair for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Domestic Longhair cat from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Longhair breeders who help with Domestic Longhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
