Here's what the humans have to say about me:
We were rescued from the Mississippi Riverbluffs April 1st. A nice family spotted us huddled together and living under a piece of plywood for our shelter. They took us to their garage and fed us. We were so grateful to get fed and watered. The next day they took us to their vet and got us our first puppy shot...ouch.. that hurt just a little and then we got wormed. Our big bellies were full of worms but we're all better now.
We are about 12-14 weeks old and are now in a foster home with other homeless pets. We're getting socialized....that's a mighty big word for us but it's pretty fun. We get yummy Pro Plan Puppy food to eat and our coats are improving so much. We love to be petted, held and picked up. Heh, we're adjusting to lots of new things and getting better every day. Our foster mom says we're little mud bugs since we were found by the Mississippi River.
I've been spayed, current with 2 puppy vaccines, wormed twice and current on my preventatives. I weighed 15 pounds on Monday, April 18th.
Save 1 Pet is a 501 C 3 approved charity committed to helping homeless animals. We don't have a facility (shelter) but work out of our homes and foster the animals until they can find a forever home.
