My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi World...
I'm Spenser and I'm a two year old bichon recovering from a bad hair day. (I was so tangled and matted that the people at the shelter felt sorry for me… so they shaved me down. They did it with more love than skill my Mom says – so I’m growing out my beautiful white hair and will be silky and fluffy again soon.)

I like people and kids, get along well with most other dogs, am loving and very energetic (you can see that in my smile!) My foster Mom says I'm learning to be housetrained (she takes me out a lot because I love to go on walks - the more, the better!) When it comes to being playful... well, that's one of the things that I do best. I love to play with my balls and toys, go for car rides and walks and be with a family. I would also love to sleep in your bed – and snuggle.

Mom says that I'm not a barker (in fact I can be a bit timid some times) but will let you know if someone comes to the door. The other day, however, I discovered myself in the mirror, for the first time… and she said I growled and barked like crazy – until I realized that it wasn’t another dog… but we only me. She laughed and laughed when I did that!

When I want to play I sometimes annoy my foster brother so he’ll pay attention to me – and I can be pretty darn funny. To get him going I sometimes ‘borrow’ his chewie – then we chase each other around the house until we’re too tired to move!

The most important thing for you to know is that I thrive on - and need - company. My perfect home would have people around most of the time - and I can also be an only dog, as long as I have the company of my family

If I sound like the kind of bichon that you are looking for, please complete an application for me at www.bichonfurkids.com/application.htm - and ask for Spenser, 'cause I'll be waiting to hear from you.
