Darby's Story...
Darby is a little sweetheart.....so gentle and loving...just like a little baby. We don't think that she can see very well, but well enough to see across the room and most of what is going on around her. She is such a little love bug.....she gets along well with the other dogs, unless there is a rambunctious one in the group. She just minds her own business and hopes they will do the same. She might do better in a one-dog home unless the other was as gentle as she is.

She weighs about 20 lbs. The shelter said they think that she is about 8-9 years old.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Darby, a White Settlement Schnauzer (Standard) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Schnauzer (Standard) for sale in White Settlement, or seeking a Schnauzer (Standard) dog from a breeder in White Settlement.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in White Settlement already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a White Settlement breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Schnauzer (Standard) breeders who help with Schnauzer (Standard) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in White Settlement paves the way for another one to be saved.
