Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet the Island Puppies! These 10 tropical babies have had a rough start on life but are now getting the second chance they deserve. They, along with their mother, Maui, were dropped off at the shelter after their mother's owner decided they didn't want to keep them. The shelter is no place for a momma dog and her puppies, so LFS stepped in to give them a new start. So far, the puppies are all happy and healthy, glad to be out of the scary shelter. There are 7 boys and 3 girls. They are all about 3 weeks old as of May 19th. These puppies and their mother will be available for adoption in a few weeks, but please don't hesitate to fill out an application today! Keep checking back as we learn more about their personalities as they grow.
UPDATE:The island puppies are not that small anymore. They are now about 16 weeks old (on 8/13) and they are starting to show their true personalities. They have the shape of a lab and the markings of a border collie (at least some of them). They are fun, active, and ready to get some one on one attention!
UPDATE FROM FOSTER DAD:Fiji is very sweet. He loves to snuggle and to lean against your body. He is almost potty trained and he is getting pretty good on the leash. Fiji has been going around town with his foster brother and he is learning quickly: Fiji loves Atlanta Food Tracks, his new bed, swimming (he loves water and to help watering the yard), and finally, he loves going up and down stairs although that took a few days to learn.
**Wanted: house with (i) a pool (will settle for a doggie pool or a dog bowl but be ready to have water splashed all over as I absolutely love water), (ii) a swim partner (but be ready as I am as fast as it gets in the water), (iii) one or more snuggle partners (both four and two legged), (iv) lots of stuffed toys, (v) lots of love. In return I will shower you with love, sit by your fit when I feel like getting a rub, not chew on your shoes (plants are another issue but I am working on that), make you laugh all the time (I am much cheaper than therapy and I am as effective), stop people on the street to tell you how cute I am, and be your loyal companion for a long time.
