Audi's Story...
Audi is a beautiful, playful, curious, acrobatic, snugly, well-socialized and fun kitten looking for a loving guardian. This kitten was rescued from a cage at Chicago Animal Care and Control and is living in a wonderful foster home where she has proven herself well-behaved and social with other cats and dogs. She gets along with everyone. Audi is a four-week-old black kitten. She’s so young she still has blue eyes! This kitten loves to wrestle and play so she would be good in a home where there is another young cat to play with. She is very healthy, de-wormed, up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccines, and virus-tested. She will be spayed and micro-chipped in August. To meet and possibly adopt Audi the kitten, please contact her foster mom Melissa at melissamkelley@me.com or 312-622-1512. Her adoption fee of $75 benefits the Friends of Chicago Animal Care and Control.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Audi, a Chicago Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
