My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello World,

My name is Harper and I’m a cute little more than one-year-old Bichon boy who weighs eleven pounds soaking wet. My foster mom says that good things come in small packages and that I’m an incredibly cute ‘package.’ (She also says I’m smart, handsome, playful, independent and a good watchdog, too! (I’m not exactly sure what that means but Mom smiles when she says it!)

I love to play with my toys especially ones that squeak and my Kong toy. I like to play fetch and will retrieve my toy over and over. I’m also very generous with my toys. If you want to share them, I’ll share them right back. That’s the kind of guy I am! Dad says I’m a bit like the energizer bunny and that I’m as SMART as I am playful!

I am crate trained and really good about it. (Of course I love to snuggle in the big bed when I can.) Mom says I’m very good with strangers and will allow them to pick me up and snuggle for a few seconds – then I’m off to conquer the world again! Dad says I like my walks and when I want a treat I ‘talk’ to him (without barking!) When he and Mom put a treat in front of me and tell me to leave it I wait patiently until they give me the ‘ok’ command. Dad says that proves I’m really smart and that I earn my treats! (I also know other commands like ‘come’, ‘sit’ ‘and stay’ too!)

When it’s time to go out for my walks I go to the door to ask – and I also know that’s where I’m supposed to do ‘my business.’

Mom says that I’m a little gentleman who would make anyone a great companion. She thinks I would be happiest in an active home with a family. I can probably be the only furkid, too, as I’m a pretty confident guy.

So if you’re looking for a loving, cute, happy and playful little guy, just ask for me. I’ll be waiting to meet you.

Your friend-in-waiting
Happy and handsome Harper
