Thursday's Story...

Thursday and her littermates were found as strays in a park, along with their mother. The mother appears to be a beagle mix and weighs about 25 lbs. Their father is unknown but based on the coloring of the puppies and the kind of stray dogs seen in the local area, it is guessed that the father might be a brindle basenji mix.

Thursday is around 3 months old now. She will be available for a meet-and-greet and/or to go to her forever home starting January 5.

If you are interested in adopting Thursday, please email your completed Adoption Application. A meeting can be arranged after your application has been reviewed. There is a $225 adoption fee to help cover a portion of their medical and transport expenses. They will be spayed/neutered, dewormed, current on shots, and microchipped prior to adoption. A homecheck will be required to help ensure each pup goes to a suitable environment.

Here are a couple of the puppies with their mom, who is also available for adoption.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Thursday, a Concord Beagle/Basenji puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle/Basenji for sale in Concord, or seeking a Beagle/Basenji puppy from a breeder in Concord.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Concord already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Concord breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle/Basenji breeders who help with Beagle/Basenji rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Concord paves the way for another one to be saved.
